Is particularly good for surfing and body surfing. With large swells that can reach up to 6ft in good weather conditions.

A river mouth break. The best waves are in the North-easily winds during winter time. Recommended for the more experienced surfers due to the rips that can occur.

Southerndown-Dunraven Bay

Is mainly a beach break with the reef on the right hand side. The best waves are also in the North-easily winds during winter months.

PorthCawl-Rest Bay

Popular with all surfers. The bay faces the South West, so the ocean swells to make it an ideal place for surfing. Perfect for beginners with instructors and surf boards for hire.

PorthCawl-Sandy Bay

This beautiful flat sandy bay, which is shelter by the towns harbour. The beach is very popular with families and day visitors during the summertime, so surfers will need to take extra care.
